Planning for the 2nd Annual NeuroTrauma Symposium 2023 is underway! The event will be held on Friday, March 31, 2023 from 7:30am-5pm at the Westin in Jackson, MS.

 

This year we are continuing the theme "A Meeting of the Minds" with a goal to bring more people with varied brain and spinal cord injury expertise together, not only to share their particular piece of the puzzle, but also to meet, talk and listen to each other to create a neuro-related network of professionals that communicate to offer the best possible outcomes for our survivors, family members and caregivers.  

WE WELCOME COMPELLING SESSION PROPOSALS FOR BEST PRACTICES IN BRAIN & SPINAL CORD INJURY.

 

DEADLINE TO SUBMIT PROPOSALS:
DECEMBER 2ND, 2022

Topics include but are not limited to:

  • Long-term services and support

  • Advocacy & knowledge of levels of care

  • Emerging, promising, best and evidence-based practices

  • Expanding clinical tool kits for allied health professionals 

  • State-of-the-art approaches to improving patient care

  • Cutting-edge treatments & medications

  • Assistive equipment and technology

  • Intimacy & relationships after injury

  • Understanding the loss after injury

  • Sleep

  • Stroke

  • Seizures

  • Concussions

  • Mental and behavioral health & substance use treatments

  • Clinical utilization of FES and Virtual Reality 

  • Urological issues following a TBI/SCI

  • Physical & psychological adaptation after injury

  • Post-injury employment

  • Recovery and community re-entry through transdisciplinary care 

  • Equity, inclusion and diversity
