2019 "Salute to Our Heroes" Volunteer of the Year Award Recipient

We are honored to present The 2019 "Volunteer of the Year" to Mrs. Janice Knight.

If you were to seek out a true servant’s heart, you wouldn’t have to look much farther than Janice Knight. In addition to being a loving and loyal wife, mother and grandmother – Mrs. Knight has recently retired from St. Dominic Health Services where she dedicated 32 years of her life. Before retiring, she held the position of Corporate Services Manager.

Mrs. Knight also graciously gives of her time to multiple deserving organizations, schools and non-profits. Some of her community involvements are:

Mrs. Knight was selected as a Top 10 finalist in Mississippi Business Journal’s 2013 Top 50 Leading Business Women. She received a proclamation from Governor Phil Bryant upon retirement for the many years of dedicated service in the healthcare field and commitment to the many citizens of Mississippi. Mrs. Knight was also awarded Executive Women International’s Chapter Life Membership from the Jackson Chapter. This title is bestowed from the Chapter membership for meritorious service above and beyond the call of duty to the Chapter and for 18 years of dedication and commitment to the vision and mission of Executive Women International and the communities they serve.

The list of committees she has been involved with are many and each one of these organizations has been truly lucky to have her commitment and influence!

Janice has been blessed with two children, Jason Bain and Lisa Rhodes, as well as four beautiful grandchildren, Addison (12), Matthew (11), Marley Kate (10) and Brody (8) and lives in Crystal Springs, MS, with her husband, Deral Knight, and they are active members of the First Baptist Church of Crystal Springs.
