The Brain Injury Association of Mississippi is participating in #GivingTuesdayNow, a National Global Day of Unity - today May 5, 2020.
At a time when we are all experiencing the Covid- 19 pandemic, generosity in all forms is what brings people of all races, faiths, gender, and political views together across the globe.
Generosity, kindness, and gratitude gives everyone the power to make a positive change in the lives of others and is a fundamental value anyone can act on.
#GivingTuesdayNow emphasizes opportunities to give back to communities and causes in safe ways that allow for social connection and kindness even while practicing physical distancing.
We all have gifts to give, and with social media, online giving, delivery, mail, and phones, there are limitless ways to use your generosity, kindness, smiles and gratitude to support others.
Here is what the Brain Injury Association is planning to do for the next 24 hours:
Photo posts on social media of our sponsors who graciously fund our ability to help brain and spinal cord injury survivors and their caregivers.
Post and share our survivors and caregivers stories and successes
Collections of the Artwork our survivors have completed during the Art Restart program we hosted for years at our office, but do not have the funding to pay an Art Therapist to conduct. We so wish we could re-start this program, and have search high and low for a non-paid graduate student, or volunteer with the skill set and time to do.
Post and share the photos, videos, hand-made signs, of gratitude, kindness and generosity we requested from everyone across North America in every time zone, and a few we know from across the globe via our social media channels.
We simply ask each of you to please join us for #GivingTuesdayNow! Please share your generosity, kindness and gratitude with us, so we can share it and show the world how kind, gracious, and generous the wonderful people of Mississippi are.
