Brain Injury Awareness Month - Survivor Spotlight, Ladarius Washington

His story | His words | His voice -

One of our Jackson Support Group’s most active and positive members is Ladarius Washington. Ladarius, like many of our survivors, could have had a much different, even fatal, outcome. He was diagnosed with a brain tumor in his junior year of high school. Luckily, the doctors were able to remove it, and he graduated from high school and went on to college. Ironically, his parents saw a sign for a BIAMS support group meeting while Ladarius was still in St. Dominic’s and attended. They’ve all been a part of our brain injury family ever since. Ladarius wants to take his experience and help others now by being a motivational speaker!

If you know a Mississippi survivor who would be interested in sharing their story in the future, please encourage them to contact lmoss@msbraininjury.org. We will be sharing more videos throughout the month of March and beyond.
