Thank You For Your Support!

Thank you for your support, encouragement, and sharing our message during Brain Injury Awareness Month!

Traumatic brain injury is the #1 cause of death and disability in children, young adults and senior adults due to falls, and Mississippi is among the top states in the country for brain injuries reported each year. The BIAMS strives to inform people about the symptoms and issues that survivors go through with brain and spinal cord injury, as well as the struggles faced by their caregivers.

In March, we asked our survivors and caregivers to tell their stories through videos. Making the videos was hard. For some, it brought back painful memories of what they’ve been through, what they’ve lost, but also what they’ve gained - strength, courage and determination to live the best life they can now! You can find the videos by going to www.msbraininjury.org and clicking on “Survivor Stories." These injuries are not easy, many are invisible, and the truth is: They can happen to anyone, anywhere, anytime. The only cure is prevention!

Whether we’re assisting a new family, hosting support groups or recreational events for our survivors, advocating on behalf of civilian and military individuals, supporting injury prevention laws or providing injury prevention education, we need your support. You can help us through donations, volunteering and attending our annual events.

Tickets for our $5,000 Drawdown, which will be shown online on May 15th, are available on-line now! Click Here: Eventbrite - 2021 "Salute To Our Heroes" to purchases tickets. Our “Dash ‘N Splash” will be on June 26th at Old Trace Park, and “NogginFeast: A Celebration for the Brain” will be back at Renaissance on October 18th.

See you soon!
